I don't think I could make post time, but I could probably make it to Arlington in time for the 4th race, as I'll be out of my afternoon obligation at IIT by 1:30.

If no Cuban, then I am certainly open to suggestions.
2pm from ORD, you may even have your own personal FT driver again.

Depending upon your evening time frame, there are some good/unique dining places out here (Chowpatti, Mitsuwa, Shaw's, Greek Village Taverna, etc) or we could head downtown.

If I'm heading from south of downtown to go the track, if you two want to dine back in the city then I'll be turning the car south onto 53/355 and heading home.

If we get to Arlington at approximately post time for the first race, what time would we leave for dinner?

I'd be happy to eat either by Arlington or downtown; I'm staying near ORD.

If post time is 3, you'd probably be able to get in seven races before leaving for dinner at 6. That would put you at a surburban location by 7, or downtown by 7:30.

If dinner is downtown, I'd probably skip the track and make dinner. If dinner is in the suburbs, I should be able to make the track by the start of the 3rd race.

Might be too far west for you, but Sakuma Japanese Restaurant makes great sushi. It's about 20 minutes West of Arlington Park on 90 or Golf Rd., then a half hour back to ORD. Looks like nothing from the outside (in a strip mall), but the chefs attitude is that if the food is good enough, location isn't important.

Not too far west, as I have to get to 355 eventually. But I detest sushi...

Sushi's great. You just have to unwrap it and microwave it for 2 minutes.

As long as they have one teriyaki or tempura dish, I'll be fine...
