While we were checking in for our NRT-SFO flight on Sunday, I overheard the lady next to me saying "Oh, I don't know. Any seat is fine." As a FlyerTalker, this made me cringe, so I felt it was my duty to intervene. After I got her comfortably assigned to 17B, my wife commented to her that I learned it all through FlyerTalk. She quickly took out a pad of paper to write down the URL and said she would check it out right away.

I don't know if you're here and reading this, but if you are, welcome to the community. I owe a lot to this forum, and I hope you enjoy it...

CommunityBuzz seems more appropriate.

Nonetheless, good job! ^ ^ ^ ^ I would have cringed too if I heard that ("Any seat is fine").

To make this UA-specific: did you also teach her to sign her Hemispheres on the United Voices page?

The UA-specific part was the brief lesson in seating on the 747. And letting her know she could use the SQ lounge...
