Assuming that the location is wheelchair accessible, FlyingPenguin and I wouldn't mind popping down from SEA for the evening to meet some FTers.

I am fairly certain that McCormick and Schmick's is accessible. I will double check though and post confirmation of that. If that is the determined location for dinner.

I can commit to attending at least part of the evening, but won't be able to get there until 8 pm due to work.

Excellent! Do you have an address for McCormick and Schmick's? (I'm not sure if there's more than one in PDX.)

Actually, I thought about that yesterday ...

Yes, there is more than one M&S outlet: you want the one on SW First Avenue at Oak St. in Old Town. It's right on the MAX line, btw.

BAMAT, Do you want me to send you a Powell's Bookstore map of DT/Pearl District? They're about the best in terms of showing the various hotels, transpo lines (MAX, bus mall, street car) and other POI. I've got several extras just for sending out to FTers.

I would love that, thanks so much! Hope to see you there too.

I walked by lMcCormick and Schmick's last night and there is a sign in the window saying that there is an accessible entrance on Oak St. There is a six inch step for the 1st street entrance.

Count me in. I'll be in Portland that week scouting out living arrangements for our move in May. Look forward to meeting some new FTers.

Did I miss it? Is there a meeting time for dinner?

You didn't! It's Thursday, April 20th, and we didn't set a time. I'm ok from 6:00 on. Anyone with a time preference? Do we need reservations?

We prefer 7 or later, but will go with the majority. Yes, I recommend reservations at the downtown location for a fairly large group.

I prefer the 7pm time as I will be a little late as it is (I work until 7). But my feelings won't be hurt if it works out better for everyone else with an earlier time.

I haven't seen any posts with other suggestions, so I'll call this weekend and make a reservation for 7:00 under "Flyertalk". Looking forward to meeting everyone!
