Sydney - Feb 15-20

Since I can't make that FAB BARFTA Do in LHR, I decided to come to SYD for the week. Anyone going to be around? Anyone want to get together for drinks (or drinkies as our LHR people call them)/food/debauchery/whatever? I will be staying near Sydney Harbor (or Harbour for you Aussies). Let me know.

CHEERS!

Coming live from way overrated Park Hyatt Sydney (good place to burn those FFN's, however).

I will be around here until the 20th of this month and would gladly meet SYD based FT's or visitors over few drinks.

Well I am not sure about the debauchery, but now and again I have been known to imbibe the very occassional adult beverage.

(As long as it is not warm MILK - non UA board members might need the Google translation. )

Wow .. the location is not over-rated that is for sure. (Assuming that is the one in mthe Quay?) We had a FT dinner/drinks with iluv2fly and other visitors a couple years back on that outer deck/bar there, and the view was just magic. ^

The view is nice. I would rather rate this as a Hyatt Regency if it was not for the location after visiting Park Hyatt Dubai and Park Hyatt Seoul on this same very trip. Good place to burn those FFN's. ^

As a Finn I have learned not to drink only one adult beverage but rather few.

SQ FA recently complimented me for holding up well when she had to open second bottle of DP after sampling the reds as well on my longhaul SQ flight in F from SIN to BKK.

I am sure that in the US they would not have time to serve even coffee due to the FAA regulations.

So do we have our mini Do on Saturday?

Sorry for being late to respond from Sydney.

I can get together on Saturday evening. I am currently at the Swissotel on Market Street but am switching to the Marriott Sydney Harbour on Saturday. Something in the city would be good - and no Indian food - or you guys are on your own.

On the other hand I am switching to IC on Saturday and then back to Park Hyatt for a Sunday night before taking off to Auckland.

Saturday is fine with me. I have PM'ed you my cell number.

Well sadly Saturday night is already spoken for, with a dinner party for friends, but we will be staying in the new Sydney Hilton on this MONDAY if you guys are still about? Or if anyone else is in town Monday evening.

I'll check in around lunch time I'd guess.
