Absolutely! Either is fine with me. All of my memories are connected to lunch time, but it is going to be VERY crowded from now on. So, I'll make myself available for either. Cheryl has suggested at least one lunch in the stand up bar and another in the restaurant!

Either would work for me.....I'm thinking that dinner could be "easier" as ILP has suggested,,,,but I'd generally prefer a sit-down with the formal waiters and so on.....

Best wishes, Dave

Doubtful that I'll be able to make it, as I'm currently scheduled to leave for Oakland on the afternoon of the 10th and will be out of the office for over a week. Maybe dinner on the 9th.

Dinner @ The Berghoff on the 9th works for me

If anyone's interested in hitting the standup for lunch before the end of February (although from the Trib, it sounds like the standup might reopen with the bar <fingers crossed> ), let me know as I'll likely be there a few times before then.

Lunches will be crazy here on out. Today the line at 11:20 a.m. ran all the way down to Deaborn St.

I agree. Unlike MF & Co., where initially only the name will change, and other changes will be subtle over time, Berghoff will be gone forever.

Boo-Hoo!

I first went there back in 1973 on high school field trip- loved that place! At least they are leaving the a/port location open but certainly not like the loop location. Probably skiing in Utah around that time so enjoy yourselves!

Unfortunately it does not look like my schedule will allow me to join the 'Chicago FT gang' for either lunch or dinner at the Berghoff.
