As wharvey encouraged us: Here comes some more info about myself to help Santa (shouldn´t he watch me anyway?): I´m running an advertising agency, sitting in front a of computer nearly all day long, making the ads you all love or hate. In my spare time, I love to travel with friends or on my own, but unfortunately mostly in Y :td: . I like Asia esp. China a lot. While travelling I like to buy technical gagdets (Ipods etc.) and Kitsch (From China I brought plastic radios playing temple verses, plastic mice and a flying toy-ufo ^ ). After the job, tend to do some sports, riding my (Tahoe) longboard, or plan my next trip (Shanghai). OK, Santa, hope that helps :D I love micro-brews, primarily IPA's or APA's, but due to stupid state rules, I can't receive alcohol via mail/UPS/FedEx. However, brewery kitsch is always cool. I love clothes that are extremely huge on me, so the largest size is always a good thing (well, that and DH has a habit of shrinking everything when he does laundry). I love to read, but due to an hour commute in each direction, find myself doing less and less of that. I'm a history buff, and often will take day/weekend trips to historical places around me. I'm actually amazed that I managed to drive through Gettysburg twice this weekend and not stop either time. Well, ok, other than the micro-brewery in the town. I'm not adventurous when it comes to food, but I do love baking and cooking, but hate following recipes. |
more about me :)
altho my posting history will be a help - if you don't want to sift thru a bunch of "thread closed" notes - :)
I fly UAL almost exclusively w/ occas forays into Air Canada land. My next trips will be to England, possibly new Zealand next year, and to Honolulu in late Jan. Sadly I wil only make 2p this year:( I don't eat seafood of any kind, don't drink hard liquor or red wine but I do love a good Viognier or Sancerre. I also LOVE going out to eat - Italian, Thai, anything except (you guessed it) seafood... I'm middle aged and don't own an mp3 player or Ipod which makes me the lamest luddite on FT....I'm a playwright for love and an office manager for pay. and I have participated in SS for several years even when my SS messed up and did not get me anything.... |
I'm afraid I'm just not gonna be that creative............
But I got my assignments and already have been preparing............ Oh, something else about me....? I love languages. From trying to learn Chinese script to listening to Faroese music. (Currently listening to Norwegian Christmas music--no, I'm not really religious and I know it's way to early.) |
a little about myself.
:-) I think i am going to give it a shot.
I am Japanese. (obviously) 30 years old. (sadly) I work as a computer geek but I don't love computers. I snowboard, run, work out, and swim. My usual U.S. size for clothes is Small. oh, am I being materialistic?? :-) Have a pleasant day, Secret Santa! |
I am not greedy. I will happily settle for Michelle Pfeiffer. (In person, of course.)
|
I love FT's Secret Santa Game... Im in as always...
Thanks William for organizing this again and again. |
I'm in also. Whoever got me is probably shaking their head because of lack on information. Really anything is great. I like food and funky objects de art. I would even be happy with a contribution to a charity.
I have my presents all picked out. Should I wait and have them sent in December or go ahead and send them? It seems kinda early to be getting presents. Oh wait, it's never to early to get presents! MoreMilesPlease (maybe YOUR Secret Santa) |

This was never made clear to me. Moreover, it is a break with long-established precedent. Mr. S. Claus of the North Pole has been giving presents for years without getting anything back (except for that 6 month sentence he received Peoria for breaking and entering when he was spotted by cops prying open the window of a house which had no chimney). Can I get by on a technicality? I am Jewish and we don't celebrate Christmas. Therefore, I should not be expected to send anything to anybody. On the other hand, I fully support each person's right to celebrate his holidays and wouldn't dream of stopping people from sending gifts to me. (Remember, it is not the quality of the gift which is important. Nor is it the thought. It is the price!) |

Venti black unsweetened iced tea. (I like to add half a pink pack myself) I wholeheartedly believe that pork fat rules. Big Island cookies also rule. .. as does Mariage Freres Tea Salon, La Maison du Chocolat, and Caudalie. I <heart> The W hotel. I <especially heart> Big Apple-tinis from the Seattle W. I shouldn't be old enough to have teenage boys. |
