I'm off to Austin to watch the Colorado Buffaloes play the Texas Longhorns.
Would anyone like to meet up for dinner Friday or celebrate the Buffs' upset victory Sat?

Dinner Friday night is probably not a possibility for me unless it is before 6 PM. We have our Med-Fest going on that weekend:
This year marks the 73rd year of the Austin Mediterranean Festival, now a major community event in Austin.
Growing its attendance over the years, The Austin Mediterranean Festival continues to create more excitement and enjoyment for all those attending the festival.
Join us in this fun event that attracted thousands of Central Texans last year. Bring the whole family and join in the excitement to celebrate and participate in these and many more exciting activities:
Belly Dancers
Imported Wines and Beers
Delectable Mediterranean Cuisine
Live Music from the corners of the Mediterranean
Traditional Dance Demonstrations
Arts and Crafts Bazaars
Childrens Activities
Face Painting
Enjoy the great home cooked food, drink, and dancing from 6:00 P.M. until Midnight.
Middle Eastern Music Program Provided by
FADI SULTAN and his Band
Appetizers:
Mix of appetizers from all around the Mediterranean
Greek Food Fare:
The best home cooked Greek food on this side of the Mediterranean
The Kids Oasis:
Face Paintings, Spin Art, and various exciting Children Games
Temple Tours:
Visit the St. Elias Church Temple for a unique view into the into the beauty of its architecture and icons
Good that you are doing this on Friday evening...that way your dinner isn't spoiled from the Buff's going down in defeat on Saturday.
Sincerely,

Lurker, what is your affiliation with the Med Fest? My roommates went last year and had a ball, but I didn't know that this year's was coming up - thanks for the update! (And I'm a transplant to Austin, but one with enough sense to say Hook 'Em Horns!)

People seem to have a grand time at this event and we really enjoy hosting it, although this will be the first one held the same day as a UT home game in some time so the crowds are going to be over the top if the weather cooperates.
And, yes indeed...Hook'em!

Looks like the kick-off for the UT/Colorado game has been set for 2:30 PM Central. ^
