Perhaps I'm being too much of an optimist, but what this city needs is support and if that support can come via tourists staying in hotels, and spending lots of $$ on restaurants, taxis etc-- then count me in! Lets all just stop blamng political parties and get to work on assisting in the revival of this great American city. We all know that intially it will not be the same, and thus should not be expecting the upgrades and perks associated with various hotel status---but the ability to show our united support and unfailable (is that a word???) love for this wonderful city should be commended.

I'm a maybe
Great idea Fred:
Since the S/O and I were just discussing a return trip to NOLA about a week before Katrina hit, we are overdue for a return trip (Easter weekend was the last trip).
I only hope that those poor business owners/workers can get up and running ASAP. I can't even begin to imagine what the citizens are going through but I'm sure willing to take my disposible income $$ there as soon as they are ready.
May God bless them all!

SEA-MSY is pricing out at $220 all in on AA for that weekend. If the fares hold out through the weekend... I just might be able to confirm!

I have this penciled on the calendar but I won't know if I need this weekend for a SIN run or not until UA decides whether or not to put me out of my misery with double EQMs.
