SIN mini-do, 10 September

I'm taking the liberty of opening a new thread for this upcoming mini-do as I am the only one signed up for it. Hope I don't have to eat alone!

Sorry, I can not be there this time. My SO will be in SIN, but certainly not a type of person who likes to join the DOs.
Paging to SIN-based FTers... MovieMan, fly4fun, Jubilee, Savage25, 9V-JKL ... :-:

Even though it looks like i'll be the only one attending, can anyone recommend a nice Indian restaurant that I can hold my "private" DO at?

Hey philipperv!

I am in town this weekend, and would be happy to meet for dinner. (Thanks to CGK for pointing me in the direction of this thread!)

I know a couple of good Indian restaurants, but there are lots and I am far from an expert... So I guess we're open to suggestions.

Anyone else in town who wants to join??

A net search says that The Rang Mahal is the best but I find this place interesting too:

I'll be staying in the Little India section so anything agreed upon will be ok for me. Lets make it quick because time is of the essence now.

Thank you very much! It will be the first time of many more to come I suspect. I also plan to be at Randy Petersen's MUC beer DO on the 20th-21st. See you there if your schedule permits.

I also like the Tiffin Room. Very good North Indian buffet, IMHO. Plus, it's at the Raffles, which if this is your first trip to Singapore, you have to visit (it's the law ).

It was GREAT! Movieman is quite a gracious host. We decided to skip the Tiffin room for more modest and "outdoorsy" dining and had a wonderful time. Many thanks, Movieman and hope to see you again early next month.
