I posted this somewhere else but it's probably not in the right spot. I need help with this today if possible. I am buying tickets for three kids, ages 16, 12, and 11 today on American Airlines from TXK to MCO. (texarkana, ar to orlando, fl) Due to the ex-wife, the dates and airports used are not flexible at all. I'm also going to have to get one of those escorts cuz one of these kids is hyper and none of them have ever flown. They are staying for two weeks with us 8/02 to 8/17 on a visit with their dad. My husband has left it up to me to find the best deals and so far all I can find is 401.00 per ticket with American Airlines. Plus they say it's another $60.00 each way for each kid on the escort thing. I'm only going to buy one of those. Seems silly to pay $360.00 for what I can get for $120 and tell the other two kids to follow the first. They aren't babies. Anyway, their dad only budgeted 1,000.00 for this trip and now it's going to be quite a bit more than we thought it would be. Does anyone know how to get coupons or discounts or have any advice for us on how we can save a few bucks? We want to do stuff with the kids when they get here but are going to have all our money tied up in plane tickets at this rate.
Thanks for any help you can give us.
Heather

FT Community is for get togethers and events, not travel planning.
As you've already posted this in the AA forum HERE, and there's 17 responses already, why don't you follow that thread?

blueandthebeen, welcome to FT! Our Community is large and diverse in travel interests and that's why we have many forums for posting. I know it's not easy to master this when you are under pressure to make a good decision about your ticket purchase. But, as tom911 pointed out, you've got a lively thread going in the American Airlines fourm (Under Miles->Airlines) and I also recommend that we focus the discussion there. To make it easy to get everyone's questions answered and find those answers we do ask members not to post the same question in more than one place. I'll close the thread here. Thank you, welcome again, and best of success with your ticketing needs. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator.
