Addicted? Yup. I check FT before email every morning.

Yes, totally addicted and totally new. The first time I found this site I spent 4 or 5 hours going over very old posts. It was awsome! My regret is that I have been a high miler for 20 years, but just discovered FT this year.

Definitely addicted.

Need to have it 3 times a day :D

The wealth of knowledge is incredible. Now, just how can I get some more of those elite miles ... :)

I was watching that show "Intervention" on A&E last night and there was a guy addicted to video games and the first thing that entered my mind was this thread!!!

If someone can be that addicted to video games and have to go thru intervention and rehab-I know there are some FTs that probably need to go for this website! ;)

I definitely am addicted to FT. I check the KLM and LH fora everyday. Sometimes I even check another time in the evening just to make sure I´m not missing any great offers from the Mileage Run forum. I´ve been reading the same fora for quite a while and that made me wonder how on earth is it possible that some of you here have thousands of posts? Well, the reason seems to be that you also write into these community and OMNI pages, which have been almost ignored by me. Maybe I´ll start writing here as well. ;)

Well, at least you have your priorities straight! Over Flyertalk dinners, you insist on discussing "the law!" ;)

I still get by on self-discipline. This weekend, my network was down for two days, it was actually nice not feel addicted for a while. I got some well needed rest.

I feel the same way as the OP; having found FT only recently, I have found myself checking it often. In addition, with automatic email notification, I notice a lot more responses to threads that I have posted on popping up on my Blackberry--not close to the number of regular emails that I get, but certainly enough to make me realize I am spending a lot of time posting!

Funny how you feel like you "know" people already, just by the tone and content of their posts.

I guess it is true what they say, birds of a feather....fly together... :D

It is interesting, isn't it. Over the past seven years on FT, I have met, in real life, literally hundreds of FlyerTalkers--some of whom have become very dear friends. They always turn out to be pretty much exactly like I had envisioned they would be.

Somehow meeting "on line" breaks down some barriers and creates greater intimacy than meeting in real life. Odd, but true.

This year, thanks to FT, we will be visiting two new countries--Australia and Israel. Last year it was Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, and Hong Kong. Little by little, out FlyerTalk friends tempt us to explore more and more of this big blue marble. :)

Interestingly, I had the opportunity to meet a few FTers for the first time, and although I had no pre-conceived notions, they turned out to be just terrific! But I do envision some folks, just based on their posts...and some have terrific names that make me WANT to know what they are really like...

[QUOTE=TakeMeToEZE] Here I am reading FT instead of studying for my Education Law final exam. [/QUOTE

I really didnt realize "how" bad it was until someone asked to borrow some of my lecture notes for our history final.

The lady that borrowed them came back and asked what do my abbreviations as ORD, LAX, ISP, etc etc meant....and it didn't help I had thrown in med term abbreviations!! :p

Well tell her that in med term, ORD could be oncologic radiation daily, LAX is short for laxative (ain't that the truth), and ISP is isotonic solution powder..... :D

Was it the lobster, or was it Bonnie Hunt? ;) (We thought you were terrific too -- come back to Cgo soon!)

Well, Bonnie was a hottie, but it was the way that you knew just how to pet the lobster that made the night for me  ;)

I'll be in Chicago briefly in 2 weeks, for one night...but all tied up until very late....

Is she cute?? :p

Depending on how work is going, I sometimes check FT hourly. Especially if I have a lot of conference calls where reading FT helps keep me from falling asleep.
