Paris Stopovers
I will have 1-night stopovers in Paris on 29 April and 12 May. If any FT'ers would like to meet up just let me know here or via PM.
These are optional stopovers with morning arrivals and morning next day departures. I have found out recently that both KLM and Air France allow for this through AMS and CDG hubs, before connecting to the final destination. There does not appear to be a time limit on the length of stopover. Nice.
So far I have only planned on the Picasso museum for the inbound stopover. Still wargaming on hotels, etc.

I completed these Paris stopovers inbound/outbound to destinations in Africa.
Inbound I stayed at the Sheraton CDG on the cash and points program. This was a good deal. The train station is right underneath the hotel. Quite convenient as I took the train into Paris for a day's visit to the Picasso museum, etc. Met up with a cigar buddy.
Outbound I stayed at the Hilton Arc D' Triomphe. I took the Air France bus from CDG to the Arc d' Triomphe, and from there a taxi to the hotel. This was very easy. I redeemed points for a free night. Very nice hotel. The day's visit was walking about and touring Les Invalides. I had a great dinner with a college friend.
I think I will do these stopovers regularly. It's a great way to mix business and pleasure while on the road.
The weather was perfect on both stopovers!
