My Wife Opened a Business

Some of you may know that my wife has been working on getting a vertification in Pilates. In August, she was asked to help open a Pilates studio in her home town, Lafayette IN. We both thought it would be good experience, so she went. The short story is that the owner treated her badly, even in front of clients. Two clients with some disposable income to invest decided to open their own studio and include my wife as a partner. The interior is finished, the signs are up and the equipment was installed yesterday. They officially open for business on Monday 2/28.

They are almost booked solid for the first week (her former place of employment was rarely busy).

I guess I'm pretty excited and very proud of her and wanted to shout it to the world

Cool

Very cool -- congrats to her!!!

So has she come up with a clever slogan yet like those that we're used to?

Refresh my memory, but don't you reside somewhere in my geographic radius?

If so, please PM me... I just quit the Bikram yoga studio I've been going to and have been trying to find a Pilates studio near me... have not been impressed with what I've found so far.

In either case, congrats!

Never mind... I've reread your first post. I'm not a bright bulb today.

(Although if she has a referral here in Dallas, I would still gladly take it!)

If you are in Lafayette, make sure you offer a nice discount to Purdue students/staff/faculty.

I would opt for a roman-style decor & name it Pontius Pilate's.

So now she can say that she has a Commercial Pilate's License? There might be a name in there somewhere, especially if she's near an airport.

Or a hurricane decor (cat 5) and name it Pilate's of the Caribbean.
