Definitely in! Looking forward to a Dallas meet... something to ease the transition back to AA when Delta leaves on the 31st.
Someone asked about Thai food. If it's just you, there's a mom-and-pop place called "Best Thai" on Midway just south of Belt Line (Addison) that's fantastic. No ambience or wine list, but amazing food. For a gathering, Tom Tom in the West Village (Lemmon and McKinney-ish) is newfangled but good and has a great bar. Very lively atmosphere as with everywhere in the West Village. If people here like Japanese food (not necessarily sushi, but sushi too), I highly recommend a little place called Waka in north Dallas, Tollway and Haverwood in the strip mall next to Bali Moon. The owner, Seiji Wakabayashi, is masterful. Miso-marinated kobe beef, avocado-tuna tartare, grilled bone-in hamachi-kama, etc. $2.50 sake and $1.50 sushi during happy hour, 5:30-7 Monday-Saturday. Just a thought for a future gathering maybe. See y'all next Saturday. |

Well, I thought/hoped I'd be out west skiing, but that trip has been postponed. So count me in for Saturday. :)
