Go jump off a bridge!

Bridge, side of a mountain, whatever... people here in Queenstown will jump off of anything.

So, anybody want to go bungee jumping tomorrow!?

My Land Cruiser blew a tire today and I've burned about all the skin off my forehead. I'm also paying NZ$25 tonight to sleep in a room with four other guys. At least we each have our own beds.

Oh, and to make this flying-related, two days ago I rode shotgun in a Piper Cherokee -- I think that's what it was? -- and we landed on a beach (on purpose). Pity I didn't get any miles for the flight. Stewart Island Flights really needs to join *A.

Cheers!

Glad you're enjoying NZ ^ Jumping off things is fun If you're visiting Auckland you can also jump off Sky Tower, the harbour bridge and of course out of planes.

Sure. What time should I be there?

Sounds like you're having an awesome time. I hope you're taking lots of pictures!

Unfortunately my trip this time is constrained to the South Island and Australia, so no Auckland for me. However, I did opt for the latter of the options above and plummeted to the ground from 12,000ft. No miles for that flight either, but one hell of a view of the Remarkables.

Tomorrow is the full-day trek across the Franz Josef glacier. Unfortunately that means I have to limit my alcohol intake tonight as I have to report for duty at 8:10am. Oh well... there's always tomorrow night.

While in Queenstown, make sure to try the Shotover Jet boats. What a thrill !
