In honor of my 4000th I'd like to reminisce a bit.
I thought I'd take this not so subtle attention-whoring opportunity to thank y'all for letting me hang around here.
Once upon a time, I was just a lurker. But one fateful night in April of 2001 I made my very first post. The rest, as they say, is History. From my first out of town Do, through the planning of SEA-DO VII, the Flyertalk Community has been a huge part of my life. The friendships I've made, and the places I've been able to go because of FT still astound me.
Members of this community met me as a stranger and welcomed me into their cities..and occasionally even let me come back.
You offered assistance and support during family and personal crisis'. You showed concern over my job security when the airline industry started to falter. You made sure I found out about the great BA "fare sale". You show up for the Do's I've hosted. You make sure I get included in those Do's I can't attend (love the drunk dial!!) You didn't laugh too hard when I fell off the escalator in front of everyone in that department store in Paris. You've sent me awesome secret santa gifts. You taught me how to say very naughty things in foreign languages. And some of you have worn my lingerie..on your head..in public.
Can you not just FEEEEEEL the love??
This community will continue to grow and change as all communities do, but regardless of where it goes, or if we go along with it, I hope you all remember the amazing moments with far more passion than the disappointments.
YOU GUYS ROCK THE PARTY!!
Gros Bisous!!

Missy,
Your contributions to Flyertalk and personal friendship have meant a tremendous amount to me. I'm glad our paths have crossed.
Now get back to planning the next Sea Doo!

missy, your steady progression from lurker to generous host and arranger to TB leader is deep affirmation of how much this Community has meant to you. Thank you for all of that totally unselfish contribution over the years!

Missy,
Congrats on post 4000. This community is a better place with you here.
Thanks for all the advice you have given me and lending me your ear. I might not be in the situation I am in now if it were not for some advice you gave me one late night in Paris.
I'll be happy to cook for you anytime.
Jay

I can say without a doubt that Missy's friendliness and inclusiveness are what prompted me to make the move from occasional timid poster to member of the FT "IRL" community. Since that first FT dinner at BA Grill, I have had the great honor (and hangovers to prove it) to hang with Missy from my neighborhood bar in Seattle (Oh! Those nachos!) to shacking with her at the recent FT nuptials (sorry for puking up the chocolate in bed...the W sucked anyway) to frolicking with her and a passle of cute boys in my swimming pool in BCN at 5AM after Si-Do I to...well, it goes on like that for quite a while.
Generous, funny, and my best friend on FT, I will commemorate her 4,000th post with my 2,500th: Thanks for being here Missy! Costa Rica, here we come!

Like alanw, I also have Missy to thank for my greater activity on FlyerTalk. My first FT event was also a BA Grill dinner and she went out of her way (as did many others) to make me feel welcome to FT and the SEA FT community.
Happy 4000th!

Happy 4K Missy!
Congrats on making the 4K club, cher. The wearing of a certain clothing article on my head in N'Awlins is a privelege and memory I will relish until the end...or until it vaporizes in a "senior moment".
Your numerous contributions of time and energy have made the SEA FT community, as well as the rest of FT, a much more enjoyable and worthwhile place. Why, if you hadn't gotten me hooked on Do's, I'd have never met some absolutely terrific people, done some superbly fun and outrageous things and seen some life enriching places...including being completely knocked out by BCN. Here's to more tubbing, meat, mojitos and vino....we'll get a cigar in yer mouth yet over New Year's

Missy, it is always a pleasure to be around you, whether it is online or in person. As someone who is new to the FT community, I have appreciated your kindness and your ability to make complete dorks like me feel very included and welcomed. You also hostess-ed the first big do I went to, and did such a fantastic job. Seadoo VII is definitely on my list of must-dos for next summer.
Yay for you!
