Yes, a negative one, if they could be seen as arbitrary and if they could be seen as being handed out inconsistently. This is not a discussion of any specific moderator action. This is just a general remark

No
No, because Community Buzz is about FT get-togethers, meet & greets, & birthday wishes.
Unless someone actually notices a Banned under someone's handle or unless it's brought up in another forum (granted, some are closed), then I would say the majority of FTers don't know or don't care or assume it was for a valid reason. Quite a few times I've found out someone was banned (for short or long-term) only cuz it was mentioned by someone else somewhere else.
Also, my guess is that a moderator will come along to shut down or move this thread because it doesn't apply to the purpose of Community Buzz.
Cheers. Sharon

No. Besides the reasons SkiAdcock gives above, in my experience Community is a happy place filled with happy posts, not a place to gossip.

I should have clarified that by Community I meant not this forum but the Flyertalk community. My own experience is that people do discuss bannings.

Why post it here - IMO you cannot have it both ways by saying that we are a community and then pretending that the community does not discuss some things.

The OP has received a variety of answers from the Community. In order to maintain this forum as the positive one several members cited and focused on the happenings of the Community as a whole, we'll bring this thread to a close. Ocn Vw 1K, Co-Moderator, Community.
