I'll pass on this one. . .

I'm not trying to "hijack" this thread or anything, but if there is anybody who would like to golf in the Carolinas, please email me and we can arrange something either this summer or fall (no big deal, just a nice walk on the course with a good dinner afterwards - low key). I would enjoy meeting other folks who enjoy golfing. Thanks!

Hearding Cats.....

So the weekend before I am on the west coast and after in SJ, PR. If you all want to join me in San Juan I can get you into a concert on the 23rd :D .
Deflect to the 24th of Sept. My Bday in Sunapee, New Hampshire a wonderful place. Lots of golf courses and cheap motels. Not many airports.

Are we voting on 2 weekends Oct/Oct or Oct/Nov or has Oct 8th been picked (the Maine Do is also that weekend)?

Both choices sound good to me- I can drive to MYR or MCO just as easily. Let's try to keep green fees reasonable, however.

I hope there's not a handicap requirement? Perhaps we should play a scramble, to make it fun for the average/below-average golfers?

It's probably good to have more, uh, "not-so-good-golfers" like myself attend since it'll make the rest of you look even better!

Problem is, I'll be in Maui on 10/8, so I vote sometime else (10/2-10/10 in OGG).

Go to Pukalani Golf Course. It is cheap and fun. The wind makes it a challenge. Bring your camera, great views. It has a great downhill par 4 that you can drive the green. Look for coupons in the local tourist mags.
The Dunes is nice also. Good twilight rates.

I also love the three courses at Wailea. Expensive
Have fun!

November anyone???? Sounds like October is going to be difficult. Green fees will likely go up in November, but... Also a reminder if we do pick Nov. in MCO...Veterans Day weekend is a huge draw due to some of the school holidays

I'm likely going to be in Kiawah in Dec. for the half-marathon and likely taking the clubs with me. Let's talk closer to that date -- I'd be happy to drive up to Myrtle Beach if that would work for you.

Sounds great! Email me and we'll get together. Doesn't have to be Myrtle Beach - I was just throwing that one out. Pinehurst is inexpensive in Dec and has lots of courses to choose from -also Hilton Head or the Outer Banks. Would be fun!

Those who are really interested in a Golf DO should just take time for it. I am quite flexible with dates and places, as long as they are nice and good value.

For those who want to learn ;) from a two handicap player I am looking for FTers to play with me in the LAX area July 22 or August 15.

July 22 - Aug 2 in Scottsdale, then until Aug 14 in Cabo San Lucas. Anyone in the area please send me a private message, then you will get my e-mail address should you not have it already.

I was hoping you would see this post. Please let me know when you are on the east coast. I could use a lesson! :D
