Sat dinner

I'm told Sat dinner plans are in place for Irene's? ^

Now we just have to figure out how to fit in meals at Mother's, Acme Oyster co & Arnauds. :D

You heard correctly...I put updates on page 1 of the thread...i know it's a pain to go ALL THE WAY back there....but, there ya have it ;)

I've already started my diet and must add that Healthy Chioce meals, for the most part, suck. Viva la cholesterol, bring on the beignets...two weeks!

are we there yet?

SkiAdcock Aug 25, 2004 12:32 pm

Well I'm not...

I was hoping to join in at the last minute, but I will be moving next weekend so while you're drinking, eating & staying up late, I will be dealing w/ movers, hoping the phone lines work, packing/unpacking & all that not so great stuff. I leave for AMS on the 7th for a biz trip, so it was iffy to begin w/. But I hope you'll post pics & updates so I can live vicariously...Have a GREAT time all! Cheers. Sharon

I'm already jonesin' for cajun food. Might just have to make some homemade jambalaya this weekend (andouille's in the freezer :) ) just to tide me over until the 3rd...

missydarlin Aug 25, 2004 5:24 pm

what time's dinner?

Zarcero Aug 25, 2004 6:32 pm

Here's a place I like Bombay Club. I was there last night, and frequent it often.

I also like Snug Harbor for good music. You can catch Charmaine Neville's show most Monday evenings. Marsalis plays there quite often also.

The time is drawing nigh...

For our little ol' get together in the Big Easy. Four days to go!

If you have not confirmed for dinner yet on Saturday, Septmeber 4 at Irene's (I have moi, Missy, SeeYa, DLNewbie and GoingAway as of right now), please either do so by posting here or send me a PM not later than Thursday, September 2. SeeYa (no pun intended) on Friday / Saturday!

last chance

I've been holding a extra room thinking someone whose name we will not mention would find a cheap fare out of BWI and join us. I need to cancel that reservation by tomorrow if it is not needed. So speak up now, or suffer the consequences. :p

Mardi Gras Props

Just a few days to go .... :)

Not sure of all (any) of the events planned for the daytime, but I just read about a free ferry ride (short) and tour of a Mardi Gras warehouse: floats, costumes, etc, that looked interesting ... anyone else want to go?

Laissez les bon temps roulez....

I think it's looking like a very "casual" do...a bit laissez-faire if you will...sort of a smorgasboard and a bit impromptu as far as activities go. I'm certain that nighttime activities will include visiting a few festering quagmires of ill repute.

Since there are no plans for anything concrete other than dinner (which will hopefully not include concrete) Saturday evening, GoingAway, this sounds like a nice casual thing to do & fits right in with the "schedule" (or lack thereof).

Of course, not that I'm inferring that there is any "schedule", for this is N'Awlins during Laybah Day weekend, where, among other things, doing absolutely nothing (including advanced relaxation classes at the Wyndham's rooftop pool) is indeed in the plans...Newbie (if I may be so bold as to speak for him) and I cordially invite aimlessly wandering "DO" attendees to also lounge poolside as the "schedule" permits. :D

I think I'm on the same flight from ORD as you guys.
