I can't make BCN .. sure you don't want to visit MSY? :)

Enjoy your labor day weekend.

I'm out:(

Between SEA, the beginning of the school yr and getting my daughter off to college in ORD the next week - this is not going to happen for me:(

Thanks! While y'all are hanging in MSY, I'll be schlepping boxes around and telling (or strongly suggesting? ;) ) the movers where to put things, and of course seeing the "little darlings" for their big day. Hopefully I"ll see you before (Drunktoberfest West in Sept, or chocolate in Oct?), but if not, the flight to SIN & back to NRT :)

Did you notice her timing on this post? Perhaps Jan just needs some convincing this weekend that she really wants to go to MSY for labor day? :D

well.. at least most of us can have a mini-reunion in BCN. emphasis on "most".

it's never too late to change one's mind (and/or ticket!).
:D

FYI - you can buy boas REALLY cheap in the French Market. They are about $2 for the cheap ones and not more than $6 for the really nice ones. the prices are alot cheaper than what you would pay at the shops on bourbon

Boa's -n- beads wanted cheap....

dlnewbie Aug 12, 2004 4:24 pm

Beads I can work with ... Boas .. not this time..... even though MSY was the birthplace of that nickname.

fredmartens Aug 12, 2004 5:41 pm

Yeah, I don't look good in a boa anyway. Now a blond 80's rocker wig, that's a different story...but I won't be bringing that to LaborDo (a collective sigh of relief). More beads, more etouffe, more oysters, and bartender, one more round for me travellin' compadres. We are at 22 days and counting, Houston.

Sat Brunch

Highly recommend Elizabeth's for brunch on SAT (closed SUN) at Gallier and Chartres in the Bywater (1 mile from FQ) with amazing southern food (e.g. sfot shell crab meniere over cheese grits, strawberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast, praline bacon, etc). http://www.elizabeths-restaurant.com/

And it's 2 blocks from the Country Club for the pool and sunning, and likely very "exciting" for Decadence weekend.
