Since once is seldom enough, I double up.
This event is one which you have positively heard about.
It is the Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer. There are two sessions. The one I am attending is on Friday, 4 November 2022 at the U.I.C. Pavilion* at 525 S. Racine Ave. in Chicago; from 6:00 - 10:00 pm. The second session is Saturday, the 5th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm. It is staggering distance from the CTA's Blue Line "L" Racine station.
Tickets cost $95.83.
{* = Browsers should know that my journalist background contends with identifying a venue by the name of its sponsor until such time I am compensed by said sponsor.}
I hope the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild provides a non-electronic guide to the breweries and beers they have brought. If the Great Taste of the Midwest Festival can provide a paper booklet, ICBG should have the wherewithal.
I have a ticket for this. I will probably be orbiting around the Strong Porter + Stout and Other Dark Beer regions. I encourage and invite other FlyerTalk browsers to join me. {Yes, I am coming apart.
} Respond in this thread your level of interest. I shall add you to the corresponding tally.

I would be interested in future years, but I am otherwise booked that weekend this year.
