You can add your name to the wiki above that post. Or if you are unable, let one of us know and we can do it for you

We are coming up with a heck of an attendee list. As a reminder, this is the one-year anniversary of the Drunk DO series. We may do a Drunk DO olympics, which so far in my head is a form of a scavenger hunt. More on that to come, along with a word of the day.

Invites have been sent out via PM. Please post on this thread in addition to adding your name to the wiki if you would still like to attend. I'll post the link in the first reply for 30 minutes once we begin.
Tonight will be a lot of fun. We'll have an awards ceremony for previous winners, and a mini-olympics to determine the winner for tonight (unless someone falls asleep
).
The word of the day is champion.

This will likely be a stunner for other members here on FlyerTalk, but I will likely experiment with Zoom for this Virtual Do.
I'll scribe it thus: The battery on my old Windows 8.1 laptop lost its ability to hold its charge. I ordered a replacement battery for it. Unfortunately, clumsy Pudgy managed(?) to damage its motherboard attempting to install the new battery.

I am not upgrading(?) to Windows 10 (or 11). So I had to scramble to find another Windows 8.1 laptop. I found one on Mercari from a purveyor in Queens. (How appropriate.)
It was not easy to purchase it. I had to physically visit the nearest branch of the Chicago Public Library because Mercari would not work on a v.92 connection. Amazingly, the computers there have a slot for a flash drive which saved time re-locating the laptop's URL.
The laptop was delivered here in Chicago. Its packaging was not the most padded. It was a good thing it likely was loaded on an airplane at LGA and offloaded at ORD. If it had been ordered by somebody in Havre, MT., it might not have arrived there in good condition.
On this laptop, I have not (yet) gotten around to putting tape over the camera lens.
So later tonight, I will go to a nearby food and drink establishment which I know has a wifi network I can logon to, download the Zoom software to the replacement laptop, and run it for this Virtual Do.
The venue has a respectable selection of beers, both craft and macro. You may actually see my face if I get it to work correctly, but you will not hear me. You will have to read the text box beneath.
