Captain Denny Is Alive
To all my Flyer Talk Friends. I just turned 70 and completed my fifth year of retirement from United Airlines. I have a hobby farm in Northeast Ohio where for the last 35 years we have rescued abused and neglected farm animals. Still actively involved in the Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship which is coming up on its 20th anniversary. In that time we have awarded 190 aviation scholarships and with the big help of Flyer Talkers gave out $401,000. I will be in Shanksville Pa. at the Flight 93 Memorial on 9/11. If you are attending the event I will be at the Pine Grill Restaurant/Bar the night of the 10th.
On October 2nd 2021 I will be the MC at the Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Gala in Denver. You are all invited. Well, we do have a 500 room limit! Details can be found at dahlfund.org. I am working with Pat, with a bunch of numbers, on a "DO" the evening of October 1st. If anyone is interested in organizing the event let Pat and I know.
We still accept donations for the scholarships to keep Captain Dahl's Memory and Love of Flying alive. We have a program called "Just A Buck". Make a minimum $1 recurring donation at dahlfund.org.
