CHICAGO - Peruvian Dinner Do Friday Aug 20, 2021 - D'Candela

Chicago is coming back, the world is coming back to life.

We've held a few Flyertalk Dinner Do's at this place, delicious charcoaled grilled chicken, seafood fried rice, empanadas, ceviche, papa rellena.

Place is BYOB (bring your own booze), so I usually bring some pisco and make pisco sours for the group, split the cost of the meal & booze, it's all cheap & great tasting!! (special thanks to the_happiness_store who brought the pisco last time)

A few of us are going to the Cubs game in the afternoon, so dinner would be at 5:30pm on Friday August 20.

All are welcome however please let this thread know if you are coming to dinner so we can keep track for reservations

Also, all the way to August 20? That's some way out. If you organize another DO sooner, I'd be very interested.

I have missed these very much but sadly I have already blocked that weekend off for a family trip. I'm taking my step daughter to see where I grew up and I can't make it. Hopefully I'll be at the next one.

This is an illusion.

There is no way this can happen. Not enough people will be vaccinated. It will be the work of psychopaths who want all of us to die as our insurance will not cover treatment for COVID-19 (because it would cost it too much money), and we likely vote the wrong way nationally.

And if you believe that, I have some really prime property you should bid on on the next W-WW site real estate auction coming up at the end of June.
I am looking into the fall and I note that this is not that late. (I am contemplating visits to Denver, CO. and Cleveland, OH. Seek other threads here on FlyerTalk for the occasions that entails.) So I am going to do something this early on I would not do prior to this pandemic: I scribe I will attend this FlyerTalk Dinner Do. ~~-But if I have to back out later, I reserve that right.~~
Putting it succinctly, I have cases (plural) of 750mL bottles of Unibroue's 2019 Winter Spiced Ale (bought @ Trader Joe's) sitting in the beer cellar downstairs. One (just one for now) bottle has been sitting in my refrigerator since February 2020. It should be really good.
