Sorry to hear -- fingers crossed for a good outcome!

I liked this post not for your absence but rather for the underlying good thing.

Hoping for the best for you toomanybooks !

I am now moving to confirmed for this event.

Found a 7.5k AA redemption into LEX and a $92 cash fare home Sunday night from CVG.

Will probably book the Hyatt Regency on points.

Looking forward to getting back there.

More like the Marriotts are sold out. Plus, I am done with my requal for next year so why not try the dark side.

Did you find a hotel? I haven't cancelled my room at the Courtyard Lexington North yet if you or anyone else wants to book a reservation right after I cancel.
I'm backing out since we are going to Italy instead. Toomanybooks, you can remove me from the list.

September is National Bourbon Heritage Month. The DO will only be about ten days late.

As I recall, Oktoberfest starts in September, so our being in LEX in October to celebrate something officially celebrated in September is in good company (in my opinion).

I suspect that every month is Bourbon Month in Kentucky, so this shouldn't be a problem.

If you haven't booked yet, I recommend that you do so ASAP. HP is sold out, but HR still has rooms for 8K points.

I just now managed to book on points at HR with some finagling.

Had to be 3 nights 8th-11th (8th-10th failed)

Had to choose AAA option

Had to select points.

Then I tried to book another and it failed.
