It was really nice to trek out to "the boonies" and meet you some more of you folks! The Fish Market in Alexandria is a GREAT place and not a bad walk (or just a 5-minute bus ride) from the King Street Metro so it's easy to get to. Looking forward to seeing more FT-ers on the 5th!

I'm on vacation, true, but I still try to check it out when I can! I'm in Koh Phangan right now & my travel buddy is in Krabi. I'm here because like an idiot, I left my passport in the safe at the bungalow we stayed at - next available flight is in 3 days. Gotta love the Thai beaches and the painful Thai Massages! On the bright side though, life is great and clothes are cheap! I'll update the first page!

Just a friendly little bump back to the top to remind people about the Happy Hour 2 weeks from today.

Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I probably will be missing this Happy Hour too. I was planning a little mileage run/mini-vacation for the weekend of the 19th-23rd, but a girl from my office who does the same job I do will be out that week in Trinidad on vacation, so I had to reprice it for another weekend and the only dates that both the airline & I have available is 2/5 to 2/9 - I've gotten the time off from work, and the reservation on hold, but now I've got to go to the airport to ticket it, so we'll see if they let me keep it!

What airline? I may have expiring discount certs.

Who all can make it on 2/5?

I'll be there - according to NW, I had an illegal routing (although it priced out online fine) so they wouldn't let me use a TCV to pay for it and I'm broke because of my BKK trip. Oh well..

If it meets the fare basis restrictions and it prices out, why not sell it? They told me if I wanted to book it online with my credit card, go ahead - but I wanted to use the TCV. Oh well, I just booked a nicely priced run to SMF and a vacation to SAN - and I've got a little bump run in the works, just got to wait for the price to drop later in the year. The previous routing I had gave me about 6K more EQMs than my trips to SMF & SAN will at the same price, but that's okay - I'll make them up somehow - if there's a will, there's a way. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
