I have not asked my friend who came to Europe last summer whether he can make it or not, so it's just me so far.

I once again got a nice rate at the Nikko Hotel - the very same as last year. 105 € sgl./ 115 € dbl. incl. BF and all taxes. Nikko has just completed a renovation.
QUOTE: "Hotel Nikko Düsseldorf will offer you a new sense of living in the heart of our city. All 301 guestrooms, hotel lobby, bar, restaurant and banquet facilities in new warm and friendly colours designed by an American architect."
You can book this rate at the Nikko directly: mailto:[email protected][email protected]</A> attn: Katja Hellman. You need to refer to FLYERTALK. Pls cc to me b/c the reservation at the Nikko has not always been very reliable.
Some info on Düsseldorf hotels you'll find in the original thread (p.2)
I'll try to get a rate at the "Börsenhotel", which is a budget hotel just around the corner from the Nikko.
Infos about Düsseldorf and the Jazzrally - sorry in German only and not yet updated but with some info the 02 and 03 events. Hope it will be up to date soon.

I predict that with Randy Petersen as a wannabe, not to mention the incomparable bernie as organizer, the attendance at this Do may even outstrip that of last November's London Do! Which would be no small achievement!!!

Unfortunately, it's too early for me to commit to this one, though having attended last July's Kirmes-am-Rhein-based DUS Do, I'm certainly tempted!

Yes, I am still on for definite. Bernie, I sent you an email. I haven't booked my airfare yet but will post my flight dates and numbers when I have it. Hopefully some fare sales will come out in March. I'll probably stay at the Hilton. Yeah, I know it's a bit far away, but I figure I won't be the only FT'er there so we can split a cab fare.

Well I can assure you Randy and Julie, that Bernie's parties are always totally and amazingly fabulous. We have, I do believe, attended all of them and they are absolutely the best of fun. We wouldn't miss one if there was any way on earth that we could make it--first class host, and first class celebrations, with first class friends, all the way.
If you have UA miles you might want to look into the Lufthansa Private Air, all business class jet (48 seats on a 737) ORD/DUS.
Would be wonderful to see you both again.

I want to make this a perfect record of all four Dusss Dooos in a row.
Bernie is a great Event-Meister.

Joh is still talking about trying to get to Mongolia before or after. THAT will be quite something to organise.
------------------
Try and make it down to SYD for "OZ FEST 2004" - May 21-23

I am "very very likely" to be there, just have to reschedule a minor thing before I can confirm. LH flights price out at CHF200 incl. tax, sounds like a deal.
Does anybody care to share a room at the Nikko from Friday to Sunday?
