First time I have ever know UPS to be keep something in Lexington KY for two days - so much for overnite delivery. Of course then MRSandiego1K would have at least gotten 2 visas :D |

to win the visa prize, naturally, you have to come and submit entry/claim it in person.. :)

Too bad this is not high/low, as my visa experience was/is/will be:
10 minutes in line to drop off; Noon lunch at Benihana's, SF Japan Town with S.O. and her mother; Back to SF to pick up (planned for this afternoon;) Dim Sum at Yank Sing; Check into PH SF for a FFN stay. |

Did the dropoff today, was told it will be ready for pickup on Monday the 14th. (I expect it would be sooner if it weren't for the consulate being closed the 9th through 11th for Chinese New Year.) This is a HUGE contrast with my experience in 2002. So far, so good. ^ |
12 minutes to get my passport, as I arrived just as they opened at 1:30 and most of the line was to pick up.
PH SF is nice, but not as nice as the GH HK, PH Vendome, PH Milan or PH Zurich. |
Thanks for the kind words of welcome and encouragement.
Fri Feb 18 arrive AZ 796 from MXP 755a (counting on SWEET WILLIE to pick me up!) Westin Shanghai Mon Feb 21 depart AZ 797 to MXP 1055a I'm in for sure: Fri night Sat night Sun |
Looking forward to meeting you, beaubo, and seeing the Acapulco pics. Let's see, you're arriving on Alitalia scheduled for 7:55am and I'm on ANA from Japan scheduled for 11:30am. Wonder who will actually arrive first? Of course, I've only had limited experience with Italian transportation providers given the fact there always seems to be a strike going on when I'm there.
We are up to 12 for Friday night drinks at Cloud 9 at the GH Shanghai. Making this for 9PM though a few victims are not getting in until later. |
