My name is Andrew and I'm a Professional Motorcycle Racing photographer who covers the AMA Superbike Series here in the US and when there isn't a clash of schedules, the MotoGP World Championship. Long time lurker, first time poster
I'm Kevin, currently in Chicago.
I recently found myself with time to spare, so I'm researching a winter OneWorld RTW trip, and found FlyerTalk to be the best resource, bar none, for that. I usually only do one truly international (beyond Canada/Mexico) trip a year, plus sporadic work travel and lots of short vacations. Being based in Chicago is convenient for getting anywhere in the states, but the central location makes it that much more difficult to leave the continent for shorter trips. |
I'm Brian, and I live in Port Moody (outside of Vancouver), BC.
I don't travel a lot but when I do it's usually related to pyrotechnics or special FX - and before you ask the answer is no, I don't transport the stuff with me. Hell, I don't even wear any "themed" clothing when I fly. My next (planned) trip is next February to Lake Havasu City by way of Vegas for a fireworks convention. I registered here because I've been reading the forums for some time and find them very useful and entertaining; I hope to be able to offer constructive input from time to time. |

Andrew :) I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks now, getting some ideas for a few upcoming trips and I figured this was a good enough reason for my first post. I'm a HUGE MotoGP fan, and a novice club racer here in Edmonton, Canada. Andrew, I bookmarked the blog and will definitely give it a read later. Some awesome pictures from my first, cursory glance. A little about myself - first post
Now that I've been lurking on this board - and learning a lot - for the past year, I keep seeing the message to “Tell us a little about yourself in the Community forum." So, here goes.
I joined last year (10-07) in anticipation of a trip to Bangkok on Singapore Airlines. After reading, I opted to do the non-stop from EWR to SIN. Executive Economy was everything I hoped for. (I paid for this flight!) Stayed a few days in SIN, then, onto BKK on Singapore Airlines. Without a doubt - the best flights I have ever had. I still remember the gentle way the hostess would "present" a beverage to me. Sadly, the executive economy NS from EWR is now history. Coming up - IAD to TLV on a mileage plus award ticket from UA. And, yes - I am reading the UA and LH and Swiss forums faithfully. (I still don't have all the abbreviations down.) |
