Hello all,

I have discovered my darling wife's secret collection of hotel shampoos, soaps, slippers (and some other things I can't mention for legal reasons), and the trail leads here..

But it is also true that the quality of our joint (and in fact also my solo) trips have increased significantly in the same time frame, so I am not complaining. I am looking forward to learning from all of you, and hopefully contributing as well.

Started a new job in Chicago in August 2010. By October they had me in the air and fortunately logged 26,000 EQM's with UAL and just over 40 nights with Hilton before 2011. I hated seeing the miles and nights reset to 0 this year, but I'm hoping to make 1K this year, solely on domestic flights between ORD and SAN.

I'm a micromanager at a large insurance company. I moved here from Canada, eh! I love going to Myrtle Beach with all the other Canadians. :)

I'm brand new posting on here as I just registered today after lurking around for some time. I am a young owner of a custom commerical furniture company here in Southern California and travel quite a bit domestically and internationally for work and pleasure.

I am looking forward to contributing on the forums and continuing to absorb valuable advice for all my travel needs. Long time lurker, first time poster, blah, blah, blah...

UA 1K about to lose status for 2011 but just bumped to Priority Club Gold. Usual overseas routes are BOS-NRT and the occasional BOS-CDG.

Taking my 17-year-old son to Japan on UA miles next month and will be looking for advice/hints/tips/etc.

Rather infrequent flyer who travels only for pleasure and will probably mostly lurk. Was drawn to the forums googleing for hints on getting better rates and discovered a depth to traveling info I was completely unaware of. Now, a few months later I wish I would have found the forums years ago, but it's never too late to learn...:)
