Dinner/Drinks in NYC Wednesday, Dec 10th

I will be arriving in the city fairly late on the 9th so I can't commit to anything on Tuesday but would be open for dinner/drinks on the 10th. My meeting gets out at 4:30PM but I need to take the train back to New Jersey that night so I can't stay out too late. I will be staying at the W Hotel TS and my meeting is in a building in Times Square so something in the area would be preferable.

Anyone up for this and suggestions are welcome.

Rachel... a few places that Flyertalkers have gathered at in recent years (Reservations are a MUST this time of year!)

West Bank Cafe (West 42nd Street and 9th Avenue) Very contemporary American, good prices, great food. The first Catman Do was here:

Virgil's BBQ (West 44th Street off Times Square, near the Toys R Us Excellent MIssouri Style BBQ. Extensive winelist. Supposedly famous for Margaritas (though I never had

Simply Pasta. (West 41st Street off Broadway) Not as fancy as most restaurants but a good value and good food.

Manhattan Chili COmpany (See Ya likes this place, I have not been)

There is also a place called Nick and Stef's Steakhouse, which is at Madison Square Garden (if you wanted to be near yoru train.) I have not been here yet (got a gift certificate for them in the mail) but it looks pretty decent:

I work in Hoboken till about 7pm but could cross the Hudson if this takes off.

Have fun in NYC Rachel.

I have made reservations for 6 people at 6:30PM at West Bank Cafe. Thanks Catman for the suggestion. I know this is a little early for people but I don't want to be taking the train late back to the burbs. If more people are interested I can increase the reservation. So far we have 3 for dinner.

6:30pm is a bit early for me (I don't get off work till 7pm.) If you don't mind me showing up halfway through dinner I could make it by 7:30pm.

I'm sure you'll like West Bank Cafe.

Rachel,

I would have liked to meet up again. Unfortunately, I also have my company's Holiday Party that night.
Hope you guys have fun!

Hey Rach! I may be able to sneak over. I will confirm in a day or two. Besides, I have been meaning to meet Catman from when I missed the last meet in NYC. I may bring another person also. I will let you know regardless.
