It's a small world after all.

I attended a wedding in Southern California last weekend and while talking with this lovely woman from Portland, Oregron, she mentioned that her son lived at Greenlake. Hmmmm, I have a friend that lives at Greenlake.

Later in the conversation she happened to mention that her son attended Villanova University. Why is this all sounding so familiar to me?

Later her husband mentioned their son's name and BINGO, all the bells and whistles went off. Her son is none other than the roommate and long-time friend of our dear Chexfan.

This lovely lady is also the cousin of my sister-in-law. Does that make Chex a sort of shirt tail relative, in addition to being one of my favorite Flyer Talk sons?

Let me tell you... there is nothing more amazing than being at a rodeo in Pendleton and getting ONE voice mail with BOTH of my Pacific Northwest mothers on it!

Reminds me of looking at old pictures at a (long ago) girlfiriend's house, in another state (350 miles) from where I grew up. Looked at a wedding picture of a family friend of their's, and my brother's in it!

The friend had been his college roommate at one point, and my brother attended the wedding. My friends younger brother was the ring bearer. Small world, indeed!

Maybe chexy was there as well...

I had a funny encounter once. I live in Toronto but was in Chicago on business when the person I was meeting had trouble with their laptop and LCD projector. We started talking casually while everything re-booted and it turns out that he was a classmate of my brothers at the Univ of Iowa.

You just have to love it when you share addictions (miles&points) with your momma!!!

Maybe there is some sort of therapy for you!

You know, geo1005, you might be right. If this becomes any more complicated, we might all have to move to Kentucky.

This is a beautiful story.

And it definitely supports my belief that there is more likely only three degrees of separation between us all.
