NYC Aug 16/17

The plan: spend the weekend of my birthday (Aug 16th) in NYC with my LAX-based girlfriend (who was called to Brooklyn for work that week) before departing for Asia from JFK on the 18th.

The problem: Girlfriend's plans change and no longer include NYC, Priceline hotel is already set and AC has no FF space available on the 18th to make a quick LGA-JFK connection on the 18th (my current outbound tix are on the 15th).

The proposition: Meet up with a FTer or two while enjoying myself in NYC (as best I can without the GF )

I've got plans on the 18th but the 16th and 17th are pretty open. I'm especially interested in getting to know Brooklyn a little better and checking out the temporary MoMA in Queens.

Any takers?

If you want to know Brooklyn better you had better make a reservation with Dan Hammer, he's the Brooklyn expert

Howie - you are spending hard earned money for an education. Is this the result?

Air Canada released some award seats for the 16th so I forfeited one hotel night and rebooked my outbound seat for the morning of the 16th to allow me to have a bit of a b-day get-together here at home on the 15th. I'll be arriving at LGA around 11 am. Looks like breakfast on Sat is out RTW4, but I will e-mail you. To everyone else, how does dinner on Sat or Sun or Sun brunch sound?
