Manhattan, NY June 10th?

I'll be in NYC and have a free evening on Tuesday June 10th, anyone interested in getting together for an adult beverage?

Vaze... welcoem to NYC.

Do you have any idea what time you are thinking of meeting up or where? That could help the Local NYC FT-ers plan.

Don't think I could make it but made a note of it.

Thanks Catman will be free from around 6pm on and staying at the Doubletree in Times Square. If if turns out nobody is interested in getting together for a drink or something, might just get a ticket for a show as it's been a while since I've been to the theater

I'm a weak possibility. I'll be in town, but probably have a business function on Tuesday night.

I'm staying in Time Square and wide open, maybe one of the locals could suggest somewhere?

Also a possibility. Not realy sure whats around the Doubletree area except for TGIF - which may not be a great choice.

TGIF is one of the worst places in NY. It won't be hrad to find a place for a drink provided we aren't staying in Times Square.

While I still can't commit, Virgil's BBQ is real close. It's been an occasional FT get-together place.

I had an early dinner just last week at Virgils BBQ and IMHO I did not think it was anything special.

Rene Pugiol(Spelling) is Very Good
The Fire Bird Cabaret/Bar (Is also Very Good)

I cannot make it as I will be out of the area.

The bar at Virgils does get crowded at night with lots of local business people going there for post dinner drinks.

Disagree that Virgils is not anything special. Great restaurant, good food, excellent BBQ and other food at a decent price. If you go for dinner reservations are A MUST. (Don't remember any FT events there though.)

If you want a decent place for dinner go for Virgils. Check their specials. It even has a decent wine list (and plenty of beer choices.)

If you just want a drink why don't you try the revolving bar at the Marriott Marquis (8th Floor) Meet in the lobby by the bank of elevators then go up. It may be a bit pricey but it's a more open space and you actually can hear your seatmates.

There are a few pubs near the Doubletree but they were too crowded and noisy for me. And DON"T do TGI Friday's... overpriced with rude service.

I might possibly be able to meet. I have been to Virgil's a number of times and liked it. Two other places I have been to recently and can recommend (though not in Times Square, you can get anywhere from there)

Ernie's, Italian, can dine outside if it is nice, Broadway between 75th and 76th.

Canyon Road, Mexican, 1470 First Ave, at 75th.

Turns out I cant meet that nite - will be travelling to the west coast at that time.

I wasnt really suggesting TGIF - just mentioning that it was right near the Doubletree.

A suggestion - if its nice outside - Bryant Park Grill.
