1) Enjoy LAX.
2) Never boarded CO, and proud of it.
3) Skeptical that I'll EVER beat Mrs. Don's find of BDL-LAS $98 r/t with double BASE miles (last October, DL. We went for a half-weekend, but instead should've shuttled four or five round-trips to make GM)
4) Fond of SkyDeli.

I flew YYZ-AA-ORD-AA-NRT-CX-HKG on a full-Y fare two years ago and never bothered to collect the AAdvantage status miles, segments, points or try for an upgrade

Humiliation? b/c of my stupidity, I failed to keep my AAdvantage account "active" and forfeited the 60,000-odd points I had collected a while back.

My 'fess up:

I checked into a hotel last month for Starwood's double stays and didn't even go see the room until I drove back by to check out. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
</font>
Did that at the Westin Galleria on my way over to the Hilton Plaza in Houston weekend before last. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Drove in, checked in, drove out and called 'em 'cause I forgot to check out. NEVER saw the room... I don't think the front desk even knew.

My own confession : I tried to sneak up front on an LH flight CDG-FRA. It was Jan 4,2000 and all the check-in computers were down at CDG so they handwrote out my boarding pass. Thinking I could sneak one past 'em I sat down in C... the purser ROUNDLY chewed me out, "Sir, I'm not sure what class this *IS* but I DON'T think it's business class, I'll have to ask you to take a seat in coach." That was the first and ONLY time I ever pulled that stunt.

Never flown southwest. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

I've been on three America West flights in the last month. I have no interest in obtaining a FF card from them either.

This is really embarrassing ...

I just checked in for AA 1861, BOS-DFW, en route to Seattle - and discovered, at the airport, that I had left my VIPOWs (upgrade certificates, for those not into AA jargon) at home.

(I even knew the guy who checked me in at the Boston AC, but there wasn't a thing he could do about it with the new system they have now.)

9F, here I come!

JAX Flier May 19, 2002 9:46 am

I recently "stayed" at a Radisson to collect 10,000 UA miles, only going to the room long enough to collect the shampoo and other amenities.

I have been to CLT well over 100 times, but never even crossed through security.

If I can't get an upgrade, I don't really need to go there and have changed destination many times accordingly.

I have taken 3 trips on 3 airlines on 1 weekend to avoid the Sat night stay rule on 2 of them just to obtain maximum miles.

And most embarassing, I have never been on the Concorde, and don't want to, despite having more than enough miles, because the flight is too short to enjoy the pampering of a real 1st or biz class!!

Flying from SMF to LAS this past Friday afternoon, I turned down a bump opportunity on America West because I had no idea what I would do with a $600 bump voucher on an airline I am loath to fly.

Of course, I had made $325 at the tables by the time the flight through PHX they were going to put me on would have landed, so you might say I came out ahead either way.

Trade it on CC for either AA or UA vouchers

I have never ordered room service when I was alone in a hotel room.

I think Plato should be taken out for his TPE runs w/o calling the parents. 0 Filial piety for that!

I have never stayed in a Marriott (but I have stayed at 5 Ritz Carltons).
I have never worn a suit on an airplane.
I have never flown FC internationally.
I have never used a skycap.
I have never flown on Amnerican.
I have never stayed at a Four Seasons.
I've never spent the night in San Fransico, but have been there 5 times for the day.
I have never paid for a drink on an airplane.
I AM a (semi) member of the mile high club. (Long, long story for another time, another place. It was on a Southwest flight while I was in high school.)
I have flown on a commercial flight on a 737 where I an a friend were the only passengers. The crew let us into the cockpit, and let us play nerf football in the cabin.

I only used a skycap in one place, for one purpose. UA at IND!!! Each week, I would stop in IND and pack up 3 suitcases and I moved my entire 4 BR house to DEN!!! I gave my favorite guy a good tip and he would just laugh...

One of my first thoughts after 9-11 was what I got "away" with. I checked pots, pans, every kitchen utensil (and sharp object...) I checked all my clothes, all my books, all my games, everything in my garage. The skycap would ask for fun what the UA shipping plan held this week...

I got to the end and started moving the sofa cushions...

So you could say that I moved everything but the kitchen sink (it was HORRID stainless).

BoulderHyattHopper, your concept sure reminds me of the 1976 Johnny Cash song, One Piece At A Time. He worked on an automobile assembly line and devised himself a plan to get a new Cadillac at no cost to him by moving the items out in a lunchbox, One Piece At A Time. That concept worked for him and it sounds as if it worked for you. At least you owned the items you moved, one piece at a time or was it 3 suitcases at a time? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

OK, I've flown home to vist friends, but didn't stop in on my parents.

I never missed a (originating) flight. (Once I missed it, but it had to return to the gate)

Never been on a 747, much less upstairs.

I too have used the Airfone, just to impress someone.

I have made up entire personas just to entertain myself when stuck with overly-chatty seatmates.

I've helped myself to the mini liquor bottles as the cart passed (while in coach).

I NEVER GOT my AA miles from the Hotel Nikko in Dusseldorf!

Non-Travel

I've never read Cather in the Rye

I've purposely ruined laundry to get someone else to do it.
