Pointsgirl--how is it that you never had a bike as a kid? Did you live on a boat or something? Did you need training wheels when you were an adult?

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif No I did not live on a boat. Ha Ha Ha.

I had a very very overprotective mother and we lived on a main street (State Highway) and my Mother did not like the idea of me riding a bike (especially since I have always been a tad bit clumsy)
Don't even ask me about Roller Skates or Ice Skates...Ugggh!!

I never lived in the United States of America.
I never saw the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
I never went to University.

I've never been to Atlanta (or even flown through).

TH,

Very low blow re:Squeakr.

As for you're taking away a seat from a mother and child...that's pretty low, even for a flyertalker.

Now bend over...

I'm going to defend Trojan Horse here as he is at least being honest about how he obtained his bulkhead seat. After all, the topic of the thread is Humiliation and we are revealing some of the embarrassing things we have done.

I will say that while we all may not agree with the tactic, at least he is not doing what I've seen a few FTers do - act high on mighty on the forums while confessing to some TRUELY sick and unscrupulous behavior when they are away from a forum where they might be judged.

Now... lets cut the judgment and get back to the topic at hand.

My 'fess up:

I checked into a hotel last month for Starwood's double stays and didn't even go see the room until I drove back by to check out. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

As for opinions regarding the method of bulkhead seat reserving, oh well not much I can do about it now, and I wouldnt post it again if I did it.. However I don't believe that I've ever seen a bassinet on a plane either.. Not saying there aren't any, just that I've never seen one on any flight I've been on... in this case I look at is as no blood no foul.. I'm sure once I checked in and they see no baby, that if one showed up they could move me, just as they could if some other person who needed the seat could probably bump me from the seat by a GA.

Along similar lines I do have another question.

Why do people with (I'm assuming here) infants less than 2 who are not paying for a seat, have the priority over bulkhead anyway.. In many instance I would be that they are paying a heck of a lot less than I am too for that seat.. I would guess that in the majority of the instances, they would not be given the seat other than they have a kid in a bassinet.. Yes I know some young tikes are plats and stuff like that too but they are the very minority.. I would also guess that they carry little or no elite status.. before all you Golds & Plats with infants say I have flown with my baby... I know.. but "most" people that I see with infants are usually way in the back of the bus and are not in elite seating..

As for Squeaker,Squeaker gets what Squeaker sows!!!.. nothing will change my mind about that so IMHO, its not even close to a low blow

Finally, TG thanks, I too have done the hotel thing to get my final promo night just as you did, geez and I never considered it wrong.. heck I paid for the room and abided by all the rules... again, no blood no foul

My humiliation....

Flying 8k miles to TPE on multiple mileage runs and not letting parents know that I'm in town.

Then having to hide my passport so they don't see the mass of entry/exit stamps.

Pointsgirl, I must ask the obvious question. Did you ever learn to ride, or do you just put up with going two feet and falling? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Darren May 13, 2002 12:24 am

I have flown over 40,000 miles at one time without stopping in any one place for over 6 hours.....twice. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I flew from Dubai to Abu Dhabi via London.

Took the train through Queens at 4am.

Fell in a Balinese squat. Ick.

Ate a guinea pig.

Ate a pigeon.

Drank the water in Bali, Bangkok, Mexico, and Peru, as well as all the other countries I visited.

Those in the Travelers Century Club are some of my heroes. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif (I am around 25)

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Oh, I learned, but my level of skill is not anywhere near where it should be. My boyfriend and I rented bikes in Australia and were riding them around Centennial Park. I do not think I need to tell you that he was somewhat embarrassed about riding with me. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Never flown AA in coach.

BTW, thanks Rudi for being so kind to Pointsgirl. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
