Scotland: Golf in July or August

I'll be there.

I've not yet set a firm date but I am in need of a 3-4 day golfing break and I've resolved to do this sometime this summer either in July or August.

Given that there are several FT golfers around, I thought I'd put this out there in case there is interest to turn this into a Golf Do of some form.

I have two locations in mind. Turnberry or Gleneagles. I've been to both and they each have their own unique draw. If there is interest, please post here with any constraints around dates and any preferences for location (inland or coastal links).

If it starts to look like a real gathering, I'll start exploring various options including sightseeing and other activities for non-golfers, other 'must play' courses in the area, etc...

Otherwise, I'd love to catch up with a few of the local FT'ers in the area for a glass of whiskey.

Until later.

It's too far in advance to confirm, but if I can make it, I'd love to golf Scotland.

Alternatively, I'll be golfing in Cabo in August.

Or most any weekend in southern California.

I would like to play in Scotland and can do so if it falls during the last two weeks in July or the first week in August. Can also join on the last week of August.

Michswiss,
I'm flying the Concorde to LHR on August 13th and heading back to the SEA on the 18th. I haven't committed to anything yet except the flights, so this period would work for me. As for other times, I'm going to DUS and could fit something in after that.

Maybe hook up with the others that are planning the EDI trip to coincide with the Festival in mid-August (around 12th-15th I think ...) ??

I'd like to join - should be able to ....
