Philly in June

The last time we had a formal Philly weekend, it was March, and it was cold and rainy.

I'd like to schedule a repeat, and looking at the FT events thread, it looks like June would be best.

Anyone interested in a repeat?

Which weekend works best for you:
(I can't do the last weekend)

I'd like to do cheesesteaks on Saturday night again, maybe try some different places (like the place that jwhite4 has been suggesting for months ) Other than that, I am pretty open to suggestions, and of course lots of flexible time for activities on your own (the Zoo is a lot of fun when it's warm out!)

    So, who's in????

Was just talking about summer in Philly last night.

What weekend do the Phillies play? Make sure it is one of those weekends and I can guarantee at least two attendees....

I can't do 14 or 21 June, but the previous two weekends might be available. As mentioned in another thread, I'd love to hit a Phillies game.

Email's in profile, in case I don't check on this thread often enough.

I regret not attending the last PhillyDoo and very much would like to attend this one. June is still too far out for me to commit but I plan on attending!

It would be great to get together again. I had already planned to go to the Phillies game on May 31.That weekend works for me and so does the following one. If you decide to pick the other dates later in June, is anyone interested in taking a side trip to the New Jersey shore. The water is cold, but if we get good weather the beach is warm and much less crowded than during July and August.

Just don't make it the last weekend in June. I'm heading to a wedding in STT. I'd love to grab some cheesesteaks and watch the Phils.

Set the date, and I'll try my best to be there.

Count me and graymaxxi in. Graymaxxi is going to what dates are better or worse for us.

I agree we should try someplace different. The cheesesteak place I suggested for our get together I don't think will work for June. It's VERY small (seating capacity of maybe 20), and no place outside to sit down or even stand (it's in a storefront in the middle of a block).

I think we need to decide if it's going to be a sitdown or standup dinner. I really didn't like the steaks at Pat's, even they might be Phila's signature food, I think we should be able to do better. One advantage is does have though is that it's quick, everyone pays for their own meal (no splitting of check at the end), plus a June night might actually be a nice time to be outside (assuming we don't have out annual rain that day!).

June is a nice, sunny month to visit Philadelphia. Last time the weather was horrible. The only days or nights we cannot make it is:
June 1- Picking up mom from airport.
June 8- Seeing a play at Bucks County Playhouse and dinner with mom.
    June 15- Father's Day.

It looks like the very best weekend for us would be June 21 and 22, but we would try to work around any weekend that seems good for the group. Good luck with all the plans, it is very difficult to get all to agree. Lynne and Jeff

Any weekend except June 13/14v good for me. On June 13/14 we are burning our last Marriott X14's at Inner Harbor in BWI.

PS if anyone wants to do the Jersey Shore thing, RI Somers Point is showing award availability June 6 and 8th. Sold out of even revenue rooms on the 7th though.

    PS - cheesesteaks - 2 words - "Tony Luke's"

I like Tony Luke's for grinders and hoagies. Last time, we had the Pat's/Geno's challenge. Just wondering what we could challenge this time.

    Mark,

I am traveling the 1st week of June but after that, I would love to revisit Philly and hopefully go to a game.
