Hey, why isn't anyone talking about the REAL Disneyland - The Happiest Place on Earth!? O.K., so I lived 2 blocks away when I was a little kid in the early-mid 70's and I'm slightly biased.

I'm a Disneyland First Fan myself, but Epcot did fulfill a vision of Walt's that Disneyland just does not:
The ability to pick up chicks that work there that are from all over the world!!!
Okay. Maybe that wasn't Walt's vision.

I also posted this information in the Universal thread.
The Food & wine festival runs Oct. 18 to Nov. 16.
Here are some of the available details.

This info is from a non-disney affliated planning site. It's one of the best out there.

The fesival generally fills the very slow period until Thanksgiving.

Columbus Day weekend (Sunday) is also the weekend of the WDW 10k Classic.

And now that you made me think about it. The week before Columbus Day is the Oldsmobile (I think) Golf Classic. Avoid the deluxe resorts at all costs during that time unless you want to hear nothing but golf talk
.
Lots of PGA people running around too.

Don't have enough time to read the whole thread, but you can count me in, whatever the dates. Already planning to be there Columbus Day weekend, as I am escorting the Cross Country Team on their annual trip down to compete there. Am usually at the Food and Wine Festival every year, mid November. Warning about those dates: Two weeks before Thanksgiving (I think its THU-Sun Nov13-16 this year), the entire state of NJ is off school (state teachers conference), and I swear to you, the ENTIRE state ends up in DW (ok, an exaggeration, but last year I ran into now less than 10 families from my hometown at the WDW Dolphin alone). Boy, I LOVE Disney, enough that we keep renewing our annual passes every year. Can't wait!

I did Veteran's Day weekend a couple years ago & you are right...the entire state of NJ (and I think PA too?) was there!

We are definitely in WDW May 3 & 4th.
Having checked the early entry info, we are spending the Sat morning at MGM, Sun morning at Magic Kingdom, and both afternoons at Epcot.
Based upon your above stated availability, would you like to meet up at Epcot Sun afternoon, maybe 3ish? I had planned to start off with a late lunch.

Yes, I finally put together my details on Friday. I get to Orlando early afternoon on Saturday and am staying at the Swan. Leaving Monday morning... FC award trip on CO. (Do you have any idea how hard it is for a CO non-elite actually to use miles?)
If there's anyone with a similar schedule one rental car could be saved...
