OK, I can stay downtown instead of by ORD.
Decided to splurge and stay at The Drake as well. Look forward to meeting kokonutz and anyone else who's in the neighborhood.

OK, I'm thinking Big Bowl at Cedar and State (6 E. Cedar), some time around 7.30 or 8pm. This is a Lettuce Entertain You Asian restaurant and is convenient to those straggling over from the Drake.
We had a gathering here a few months ago with some of the same people, but I don't have a better idea right now.
Lemme know what you think.

Anyway, keep on confirming, folks, so I can get an idea of the size here.

Will someone make reservations, or should I?

No, I won't go to the one on Ohio. I went in for dinner myself one night, and I got charged for a handful of other meals too on my card. The manager there acted like it was a big favor to get my money back. I used to dine there once/twice a week, and I wasn't even given a nice apology. Screw 'em.
