Phoenix - Baseball on this Sunday (March 9)

I have an extra ticket to see the Arizona State University Sun Devils take on Cal State Northridge. The game is Sunday, March 9 at 2:00 PM. If you'd like to go, send me an e-mail or post here.

Arizona State's motto this season may be "It's how you finish," but it's the teams' hot start that has everyone talking. The No.3 ranked Sun Devils (24-1) are off to the best start in school history, topping the 1972 team who went 23-1. The team's lone loss of the season was an 11-5 defeat at the hands of No. 10 Long Beach State on January 31.

Ah, baseball. My favorite game. I'll be there in spirit. College baseball is a few weeks away here in the Northeast. The plowed piles of snow at the foot of my driveway are still over my head.

And we had our little league draft today and opening day is one month away, April 12. The only places where you can see the ground are where the plows, shovels, and snow blowers have touched. Everything else is covered solid. Was in Phoenix last month playing catch, oh to be back, but isn't is still basketball season out there???.

Hi Transworld:
How was your stay in LA and Vegas?
Was really fun getting to know you on way to Rome and back. Guess what? After all the fuss, BA changed my daughter's tix and didn't even charge the required $200.00 for the change. Go figure!

Yes, it is. The Sun Devils are heading into the Pac-10 Tournament as the fourth seed. They just wrapped up the regular season with wins over Oregon and Oregon State. But who really cares about basketball when you can watch a great baseball team?
