Blairvanhorn Appreciation Thread

Sometimes, in the rush of our busy lives, it's easy to overlook life's small pleasures: sunsets, black cherry ice cream, and blairvanhorn. I started this thread so all of us could reflect for a moment about the importance of blairvanhorn in our lives, and perhaps say a little bit about why we so love blairvanhorn.

I appreciate blairvanhorn's insightful posts, brilliant humor, dashing good looks, and excellent fashion sense. How about you?

One of the few people I've had the pleasure to meet who really defines the term "gentleman."

What's wrong with honoring someone when he's alive -- very alive?

I appreciate Blair's excellent choice of a Basque restaurant in Paris, and for coming out in the rain (it follows me everywhere) to join me (someone had to be there to order in French).

Tom in Auckland today

Dearest blairvanhorn, what would we do without your savoir-faire, your joie de vivre, and that certain je ne sais quoi that you possess. I can only sum up what I am feeling in my heart right now with this poem, one of my favorites. Bless you blairvanhorn!

"A friend is someone who brightens your day with a smile, a warm hello, or gentle words from the heart.

"A friend is a precious gift to be cherished
and nurtured. A friend is a treasure beyond worth.

"I am so grateful to call you my friend!!!"

I like him so much that I will contribute 0.76 to rescue him from his creditors. Yes, that's seventy-six cents in case anyone is wondering if I typed that wrong.

Wouldn't that make 78 cents then, meaning that for all his complaining blair has actually made a profit by now?

And let us not forget the penny offered by Jan... that's two cents profit. At least one will now be taken away as income tax.
