PRE ANNOUNC. - SAME TIME NEXT YEAR - SUMMER in DUS
Due to high demand
a pre announcement for those of you who wanted to visit Düsseldorf during summer and not only during those cold winter days we met before ...
The very same weekend next year (July,Fri 18th - Sun 20th)there will be our next Düsseldorf event. Every year there is a big 10-day-fair with some 5 million visitors that week of July with huge fireworks on Friday. We'd be able to watch it from 180 meters above ground (Dinner atop "Radio Tower").
Saturday may include a trip to "Schloss Burg", where some 800 yrs. ago the Dukes of Berg had residence, who ruled over Düsseldorf and the Rhineland. Trip would include a "Bergische Kaffeetafel" (Coffee Table ??) in one of the castle's rooms, usually served late afternoon. This would not only be kind of afternoon "caffee & cake" but also lots of foods from sweet to hearty like waffles, sweet rice and cream, preserves and sweet bread to pumpernickel and sausages.
Saturday night we'd visit the fairgrounds and ride rollercoasters and wheels and get into a "Bierzelt", of course - ALTBIER !
To everybody, who'd be interested what my terrace may look like in summer we'll meet at my place once again - either for our "traditional" Meet & Greet on Friday or the Farewell on Sunday.
To get an impression: There are picsto look at.

The photos look absolutely beautiful Bernie.
The first two "DUS DO's" were very well attended, wonderful fun, and beautifully run and organised by Bernie and helpers.
For anyone who has never visited this historic city, it really is worth pencilling in for next July 18-20.

I'll book our (Gisela and Rudi) flights with LH tomorrow (LH allows advanced bookings 365 days in advance).

Put me on the "maybe" list for now. I'll be in Barcelona for World Championships (swimming) in July, which run July 20-29. I may not need to be there until the 21st, so this could work out, and I'll just fly over on the morning of the 21st. Can't guarantee I'll be there until my vacation is blocked out around November of this year.

Probable awaiting official upgrade to confirmed.
I do not want to miss this one, and as it happens I just needed to be in that part of the world in or around end July/ beginning August.
