This will be my first LoveParade so I can't describe it firsthand but from what I hear, it's an awesome party.

I've been reading all the Dusseldorf threads and I've decided I really must attend next summer. I'm a DUS newbie. Thank you bernie for your timely pre-announcement. Please add me to the definite maybe list. Thanks.

Looking forward to having you along on part or better yet all off my itinerary! Any one else interested in the Love Parade, Bastille Day, or mischief in AMS? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

UA to AMS (from ORD or IAD, assuming it stays in the schedule) or FRA and then a train (or LH flight) to DUS is pretty convenient, I've done both. Also a Star Alliance award on LH to FRA then DUS looks good.

Jerrie and I already have our wbc award seats on nw/kl booked for arrival on the 18th. We do have arrival on the 17th waitlisted but they are no transatlantic segments available on that date at this time.
Imagine that. Who knows they may become available in someones dream. Who knows maybe the direct sfo-ams on kl will open up for award seats in the same dream. Bernie Thanks for posting the information early for those of us who wanted to burn some miles out of a program that is becoming more and more difficult to get awards from at prime time. We have tickets leaving SEA 7/17 and arriving DUS 7/18, leaving DUS 7/21, complete with our favorite 777 seats, 8A&B.
We also have (tentative) reservations at the DUS Hilton that come with free ski lift tickets? What does one do with lift tickets in DUS in July? Is there some sort of special deal on hotel accomodations downtown? |
