BCN Thanksgiving Weekend
Hi all,
I'll be in BCN from 28-Nov to 2-Dec. My travelling companion has backed out at the last moment so I'll be casting about on my own (I have friends in BCN but they won't be around all weekend).
Anyone up for dinner, tapas, drinks, etc.?

I'm going to Madrid on 11/18 and will be in BCN either the weekend of 11/22 or 11/29. (I'm staying with a friend so the schedule is somewhat out of my control.) If we are in BCN at the same time, I would be up for a meet. Shall I post here or email you when I have more info?

Although I shall not be there to visit Mirablau for a glass of cava with you, I wonder if I could make a humble request of any of you that will be in BCN.............
I collect Starbucks City Mugs and recently Starbucks opened a shop in Barcelona. I would ideally like to ask one of you to buy 3 of the City Mugs for Barcelona and forward them to me at my folks' address in Berkeley, CA. I live in Tokyo but will be in the U.S. over the holidays at the end of the year.
I can pay in advance or later as you wish. Can I ask that if you can assist me in fleshing out my collection in Barcelona that you e-mail me and we can arrange details. I can also send a graphic of the mug in case you are unfamiliar with the type I am talking about. My mug collection website is shown in my signature below.

I collect Starbucks City Mugs and recently Starbucks opened a shop in Barcelona. I would ideally like to ask one of you to buy 3 of the City Mugs for Barcelona and forward them to me at my folks' address in Berkeley, CA. I shall see what I can do.
It seems that a lot of FT'ers are interested in BCN, as I have a request from someone else to take some photos of swimming venue for an upcoming competition.
If I can get a hat trick going, my FT karma should be in good shape for a while!

Thank you very much. Whatever can be done on this I appreciate cvery much. I could easily see sending a care package to Seattle of various Japanese chocolate pretzels and other interesting stuff as a bonus payment.
As for the swimming pool shots, please do so. While you are there go all the way up the hill to the scenic viewing area. Very breathtaking. And if I am guessing correctly about the person to whom you refer, there are a whole bunch of us here on FT that are sending best wishes for that competition and the Bay Area's entrant. (Go Bears!)

Well, Barcelona was beautiful, fun, and exhausting as usual. But I'm back. Unfortunate that I wasn't able to meet up with anyone as I got JOUY31's email too late and warmsnickers' schedule and mine didn't overlap.
mjm, I returned with three Barcelona city mugs for you. Unfortunately, one of them was broken in my luggage. So, there are two and two halves. I'll send you an email tomorrow to discuss getting them to you.
I also got a number of photos of the swimming pools along with the rest of the stadium and the Montjuic area. I'll send them to the member who requested them and post a few of them with my trip report.
