Actually I have a match at UC Davis (Kick-off at 3pm) If it does not go into overtime I can make after 7:15pm also. Can not speak for Jerrie right now as she ran off to Paris with the eclectics from Tarom

OK, ready to get serious here.
Evening of Oct 8 or 9 would be nice for something after 800p in downtown SF.
Suggestions about meeting place and who can make a cameo at this shindig, would be appreciated.

OK, here are a couple of suggestions:
Helmand - Afghan food on Broadway in North Beach, very good, great lamb, quiet, mid-priced (figure $20-$30 pp)
Harbor Village - upscale Hong-Kong Chinese food in Embarcadero Center, around the same price as Helmand
Both would be easy to get into without a reservation.
Tadich's - old-timey SF seafood house, very good, Financial District, should be OK around 8 without a reservation but may have to wait.
Any of those appeal?

All choices sound great...I always lean toward ethnic, especially the kind I can't get in Cleveland. So, I vote Afghan!!

Been a while since I've been to Helmand, and I would enjoy that. Ms. Wonka is also interested. Are we on for Tues the 8th or Wed the 9th?
