"Congrats MIN! Good luck in the playoffs"

VERY classy, as always Carol!

If you happen to have an extra ticket, Dan, I could easily change my plans!

Enjoy!

Lets go Yankees! Lets go Yankees!

I really don't care for baseball therefore I do not know very much about it but I do know the Yankee's will not beat the Angels.

I've just bought tickets from eBay for the Friday and Saturday games in Anaheim. I hope I won't have to use the Saturday tickets. Anybody else going to be there?

Go Yankees!!!!!!!!!!

Only if you have an extra ticket - and if you refrain from wearing Yankee gear

VolleyballFerd If you know any Yankee fans you know that they always wear their Yankee gear and most likely they will be screaming at the top of their lungs about all the bad calls.

[ducking once again]

Hmmm....Angels won tonight.

<wham>

not ducking low enough

<ouch>

I am sorry!

As a Chicagoan, of course I am for the underdog. Go ANGELS!

Well, Paula, in the end you got the same things as the Cubs. Nothing.

Whoa there, Jeff. Let's not compare the Cubs' 67 wins this season to the Mariners' 93!
============================================
I cheer for two teams only -- The Mariners and anybody playing the Yankees!!
(Thanks Tom911!)

In fairness it should be noted that Wingless and the Angels are co-workers. But I agree that the Angels want it more, are playing better, and Mystique and Aura are just names used by women at strip clubs.

Did anyone notice that it's all California teams winning now? A's, Angels and Giants. We can't do anything about the Cards and D-Backs though.

Does anyone know what the weather is like at Edison for a night game? It has to be better than PacBell or the coliseum. Will a fleece do or will I have to bring the sweatshirt too?

I wouldn't expect it to be too cold - certainly not like S.F. I checked the weather in the Times and it was for a high of 80 and low of 54.

I'll look for you there, if I get a ticket. I'm thinking of going down and just trying to find one - still no FTers with an extra

It's a sunny beautiful day today and it is suppose to be even nicer tomorrow. Wear short sleaves and bring a light jacket, fleece or sweatshirt.

My son wore shorts and a t-shirt to school at 8am.

On Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium, Kevin Appier was averaging 47 seconds between pitches. The game lasted 4 hours and 11 minutes, concluding at 12:31 a.m. What's the Major League Baseball rule, if any, for time allowed between pitches?

From Major League Baseball Rules - on MLB.com

Rule 8.04
"When the bases are unoccupied, the pitcher shall deliver the ball to the batter within 20 seconds after he receives the ball. Each time the pitcher delays the game by violating this rule, the umpire shall call "Ball." The intent of this rule is to avoid unnecessary delays. The umpire shall insist that the catcher return the ball promptly to the pitcher, and that the pitcher take his position on the rubber promptly. Obvious delay by the pitcher should instantly be penalized by the umpire."

Since Appier had people on base most of the time, there would be no rule about those situations. And I've also never seen this rule enforce.
