You two are certifiable. At least I'm waiting four weeks
. That particular weekend you've selected happens to be my birthday which warrents a wonderful visit from the boyfriend so I'll have to skip it (at least I have a good excuse!).
Just finalized my ticket for Oct 4-6, 7 hour turn, upgrades not confirmed myself. Any other takers? (besides Techgirl)
Are you planning on staying at the airport, the transit hotel or going into town? I'm undecided at this point.
Count me in for BKK!! Third Nov weekend would be best

Oh, and for the miles of course..I haven't actually discussed the plan with JSD, but I was thinking we would just go into town for a few hours and maybe have a few drinks...staying up the night and sleeping on the way back worked quite well last weekend!

I like therapists who recommend beer as the cure for all
Oh - wait - we're doing Italian that night so it should probably be red wine

You guys are really crazy. I'm writing this from the Raffles Hotel in SIN after just arriving from ORD. I was in F the whole trip and I am TOAST. It was brutal - and I'm actually staying for almost a week. I swear that I'll never do it again. But work called, so that's why I am here. But to do it so close to another - you guys need to see someone - and quickly!!

Next time, I'll buy a Y seat and upgrade to C, and I'll take your paid F seat - you are toast either way, why waste?

This whole thread is hilarious - and to hear that iluv2fly is back in Singapore and toasted after the trip is a bonus.
I believe that I am tied up this weekend, although it would be fun to hit Lau Pa Sat right off the plane. C'mon, though, a stop at the transit hotel first?

Well, I012609 and I are sitting in the SFO RCC, having successfully survived the 7-hr turn in SIN. We really are both completely insane in that we agreed that spending 44 hours on an airplane in a weekend was actually pretty fun.

After the long flight over, we left our bags at Changi and spent the night partying at Boat Quay (where we found a place that would serve us bottles of Tiger beer at 4am - even after all the clubs had closed).
We had a brief scare with the upgrade on the HKG-SFO leg, where I'm pretty sure we were the last people to clear the list at the gate, but everything worked out in the end.
Highly recommend the trip for anyone who needs the miles on UA.

Since we are doing this same turn run in two weeks, I would love to have more info on where to park bags overnight at Changi so we can retrace your footsteps.

Open 24/7 - it was about S$10 to leave a rollaboard and computer case overnight.
Also useful to know is that the T1 Transit hotel has showers that are available for use for around S$8 or so. Very useful when you haven't showered in 36 hours.
