However, I strongly recommend - if you like this sort of scene - hitting the new STANDARD Hotel Downtown. Hip, cool, fun, especially the rooftop. A must. The Diner is OK for food. Nothing special.

nhila - Thanks for the info, I didn't realize it was Yom Kippur....hope no one was offended. The Standard sounds like fun, tho I suspect I'm likely to just "wander" by 
wingless - Late doesn't work so well for me, as I have an early meeting outside of downtown. I appreciate the offer tho, and if I can make it late next time,,,then you're on!
