How about to OMNI

This is not a discussion of where and when flyertalkers will be getting together

I do not believe Doc has made Silver for August yet dbmaury. Have not seen him posts for some weeks. I agree with the OMNI suggestion from jan_az.

Maybe we could add the option of qualifying either by "number of posts" or by "total number of words."

by "total number of words".
including or excluding quotations?

I don't look much at the number of posts once it is = or > 3-digits (of others), but I, sometimes (when not 'remembering' a poster), might look at the registration date.

FT is all about QUALITY, not quantity.

There are members with high 4 digit and 5 digit post counts who offer very little of value. Yet, There are members with high 4 digit and 5 digit post counts who add a GREAT deal of value.

Same could be said of members with 3 digit post counts.

Post count means NOTHING. It is the content of the posts that means everything.

To get status credit do the posts have to be intelligent and informative or will any stupid post qualify towards status?

Agreed. As my "Unofficial Coupon Connection FAQ" puts the point,

9. What's the "post count" business? How does it relate to Coupon Connection? A person's "post count" is just one index of his or her experience on and commitment to FlyerTalk. A high post count -- along with the other information you may find in reading their threads and responses to them! -- is one way to assess how trustworthy a person is in this venue.

It seems many of the posts in this forum do not have anything to do with - "This is not a discussion of where and when flyertalkers will be getting together"
